Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my pet gets sick or injured?

I will notify you immediately and follow any pre-arranged instructions. You are responsible for authorizing and arranging veterinary care. In true emergencies, I will attempt to transport the pet to the nearest vet if safe and feasible, but I am not a medical professional.

Do you have insurance?

I carry general liability insurance for pet sitting services. Bonding is in process. Proof available upon request.

What if my pet escapes?

I take extensive precautions (leashes, secure doors, etc.), but pets can be unpredictable. If an escape occurs, I will immediately search the area and notify you and local authorities/animal control. You remain ultimately responsible for containment.

Are you armed during visits?

Yes, I carry a concealed firearm for personal safety, as stated above. It remains secured and is never displayed or used except in lawful self-defense.

What about keys and home access?

I retain keys only for the duration of service unless otherwise agreed. Keys are coded (no addresses attached) and stored securely. I recommend changing locks or codes after extended absences if concerned.

Can you handle aggressive or special-needs pets?

Possibly, but full disclosure is required upfront. I reserve the right to decline or terminate service if a pet poses an unacceptable safety risk.

What if something in my home is damaged?

I treat your home with respect. Accidental minor damage will be reported and remedied. Damage caused by your pet is your responsibility.
